Interesting photo montage.

The highlighted sections work fine in contrast to the chess pieces in gold.

Maybe I'd try to fix the slight overexposure on the top section of the foreground standing piece (king).

Very nice idea, well composed.
The overexposure on the king's head is the least distracting. Most of the floor is overexposed, and a few other places. Maybe try to take this shot in more balanced light conditions.
